Cookie Policy
Cookies and browser storage used for secure sign-in, preferences and Bunker Breach.
Last updated: 10 September 2026
1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and browser storage used by the custom Operation Overbuilt site features. Cookies are small pieces of data stored by the browser; local storage is a similar browser feature used to remember settings or game information.
2. Sign-in and security
Account sign-in uses security/session cookies so the site can recognise an authenticated user and protect restricted member areas. These are necessary for account features to work.
Google + YouTube verification also uses a short-lived anti-forgery state value during the OAuth sign-in process. The custom Hub is designed for that state to expire after roughly ten minutes.
3. Interface preferences
The Operation Overbuilt interface may use browser local storage to remember choices such as sound on/off, sound volume and colour scheme. These settings prevent you having to configure the interface every time you visit.
4. Bunker Breach
Bunker Breach uses browser local storage for game-related information such as local high score, callsign and a browser/player identifier used with the competitive leaderboard. Clearing browser storage may reset these local values but does not necessarily remove a score that has already been submitted to the server-side leaderboard.
5. Third-party services
If you follow a link to YouTube, Google, a payment provider, shop provider or another external service, that service may use its own cookies under its own policies. If Operation Overbuilt later enables analytics, advertising, embedded media or other non-essential tracking technologies, this policy and any consent controls should be updated to reflect them.
6. Your choices
You can remove cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking necessary authentication/security storage may prevent member sign-in or other features from working. Where non-essential cookies require consent under applicable law, they should not be activated until the required choice has been made.
7. More information
For information about how personal data is used, see the Privacy Policy. Questions can be sent to media@operationoverbuilt.co.uk.
