Future Idea

Rest of the 1:8 LEGO Supercars

Stage: Idea

The GT3 RS is only the beginning.

Operation Overbuilt started with one question: what happens if LEGO Technic geometry is scaled from 1:8 to 1:1 and expected to survive the real world?

Once the GT3 RS has answered that, there’s an obvious problem.

There are more 1:8 supercars.

The idea is to take the rest of the iconic 1:8 Technic-style supercar family and rebuild them using the same full-scale approach — 3D-printed structural components, oversized mechanisms, real-world dimensions and the same refusal to quietly leave sensible ideas alone.

Each car would become its own engineering challenge. Different suspension layouts, body structures, aero, steering geometry, transmissions and packaging would all create new problems that simply don’t exist at model scale.

The goal wouldn’t be to make a row of giant display models.

It would be to build a full-scale collection of working engineering sculptures, each asking the same question in a slightly different way:

If the geometry works at 1:8… does it still work at 1:1?

GT3 RS // Build 001.

The rest of the garage is waiting.
